(sorry if off topic)
Here are all the BRoDs.
1: (Can reach) "Front door of death"
Door: Castle Entrance door
Reach by going to the second-to highest part of the castle outside. Walk into the walls until you fall though into the room.
2: (Can't reach) "Spiral Stairway of death"
Door: the one which you unlock by beating Fire Sea.
3: (Can reach) "Stairway of death"
Door: the one which you unlock by beating Dark World.
Reach by using the rabbit to get though the door.
4: (not sure) "Backdoor of death"
Door the one down the hall with the Boo.
This one may be reachable by doing the backwards long jump up the stairs trick, but it may seem a little too far away.
5: (Can reach) "Wet Room of death"
Door: the one in the castle's moat.
See Stairway of Death.
I hope that helped.

That's all of the ones in the castle, there are others in the game. (I'm thinking of the one at the end of the slide in Cool, Cool Mountain specifically, but there may be more)
Nice list though.

Dom Dunc: That's all of the ones in the castle, there are others in the game. (I'm thinking of the one at the end of the slide in Cool, Cool Mountain specifically, but there may be more)
I was thinking about this too. I'm wondering (although I can't think of a way to accomplish this) if there could be a BROD where you fall out of the slide in Tall Tall Mountain, in Snowman's Land where you enter the igloo, or inside the pyramid in Shifting Sand Land. These are the only places I can think right now that load a new section of the level in the actual levels themselves. I know it seems pretty impossible that they are there, since they aren't really the same "open the door and see the blackness" thing, but it's possible. I was playing with the moon jump code on the other day and I got behind the walls in the corners by the Tick Tock Clock entrance and was able to see the pictures of the sun/sky that you can see when you look down into the Rainbow Ride or Cloud secret star stage, and that got me wondering if I could get there. I wasn't able to do that, but I figured in the slide in TTM you can look down and see black, and you don't exactly hit ground when you fall into the hole, so there's gotta be some amount of space down there, same thing with the other two I mentioned. Anyone got any thoughts or ideas on these?

Before that question can be answered, I have my own:
Did you guys know that if you threw the King Bob-omb off the cliff and QUICKLY jump off it yourself, the boss music would still play?

To make sure this is more than you can do simply by jumping off the mountain, see if you can go all the way back to the start area with the battle music still playing.

I seem to have luck at getting into inescapable situations.
Go to the volcano, and up to the first bully. Go hid in the corner where you would normally jump tot he next step. The buly will ram you into the wall, and you should be stuck there. You can turn around and change direction, but you should be stuck. What's sick is that if you face the opposite directionthe bully will go "Unn!", and mario will appear like he's...having fun...Sometimes, I've pressed A or B and gotten out of it by jumping/knocking it away, but i also got pushed through the wall one time.

Well guys, I'm sorry to say that a 16 star game won't be possible in the DS version. Apparently the developers took out the re-pickup of the rabbits (Yes, there are now two stupid rabbits in the basement). Unless someone can find another way around this, there's no early game finishing here.
Also, I've noticed how hard it is now to pull off a Long Jump, seems they got us there too.

What happened as soon as you were through the wall? Did you wander around in the darkness behind it, or did you die from an "out of range" error?

I bet the game out-of-range'd. The volcano's just a big tall cylinder, there's no reason to make any walls or floors outside of it.

New glitch in Tiny-Huge Island. I got under the hill where the cannon is. Can anyone guess how I got there? Hint: it's based on a recent discussion in this topic.

I seem to have stumbled upon something suspicious in SM64DS.
Remember the pole in Tiny-Huge Island, on the island, with the sign that warned you not to get dizzy? It wouldn't give any coins, no matter how many times you ran around it.
I circumnavigated it on the DS version, and, much to my surprise, it conjured up five coins for me! This pole is still unusual in the fact that most poles in the DS version will give up their shiny circular gold when you pound them into the ground. This one doesn't.
Interesting, no?
I'm probably too suspicious, but this might have some significance.
Comments? Compliments? Bags of money?

The pole in level 13 DOES give 5 coins. It is an incontrovertible fact of the game. That is why I have 190 coins (though 191 are possible; 192 if we can get the impossible coin someday).

Wet-Dry World is so ****ing ruined in the DS version, as with tons of other levels because of Luigi. His backflip is so overpowered. I got the first six stars there in about a minute each because of the backflip, and how he can jump a lot higher.

To add to my above post, if you go to the top of a tall level, you can backflip off it and safely float to ANY POINT IN THE LEVEL.

I have heard somewhere before that in the desert level....(sadly I can't remember the name now...)You can have a dead-flying-corpse of a mario if you aim in the lower left-hand corner with the cannon and keep losing life and popping back in with the cap. SO then you know...ye can fly around till you lose your wings or you hit something or land....of course....I don't know if it's possible in the DS version...can someone please help?

What happens if you collect a star while you're dead? If you collect 7 red coins and then go fly while dead and collect the last one, then get the red coin star, what will happen? Has anyone tried this? Do you get the star, or go through it, or collect it and die and it doesn't count, or...something else?
Anyway, it would be really cool if someone could hack the game's code so the gravity would be much less, or much more, or zero, or infinity...
Or what would happen if you set it so the game doesn't check to see if Mario's always above a floor? You could avoid all the out of range stuff. Maybe if you also disabled falling... hmm...

MustKillMoWhee: Did you get pushed inside it by the Chuckya?
Exactly. Wow he has proved useful in this course. Although many of you can or have figured out how it is done, I will give you a description of it by and by.
Dom Dunc: Bill: I've gotten in there too, try it when you haven't activated the cannon yet, you can get stuck in the small column under the cover.
Wow, so you found another glitch to add to the glitch. I'll have to do that. I also notice that if you even get near the cannon you will get sucked into it.
qqwref: Anyway, it would be really cool if someone could hack the game's code so the gravity would be much less, or much more, or zero, or infinity...
Or even negative, which would give you a moonjump without a gameshark.
Or what would happen if you set it so the game doesn't check to see if Mario's always above a floor? You could avoid all the out of range stuff. Maybe if you also disabled falling... hmm...
Then you could swim under the castle, and use the cork box to get inside Bob-Omb Mountain.

Erm...actually, negative gravity would pull you upward instead of downward, so (walljumps aside) you wouldn't be able to do any kind of jump at all, unless it was downward from a ceiling or something.

Not having any luck with SM64 I see.
Happy new year. And here is the glitch in Tiny Huge Island It's really an easy trick, but it's tedious and you have to watch your step.
First as a prepratory measure, kill off the spiny-throwing Lakitu and the two Fly-Guys.
Pick up Chuck-Ya and bring him to the top of the mountain. Swim in the water. You will continue to hold Chuck as you swim. Then get back out of the water.
Now Chuck-Ya is light, just like MIPS, and you can bring him around the course. Bring him down into the large lake where "Dizzy Island" is.
Bring Chuck to the hill where the cannon is. Stand with your back against the brown vertical wall nearby. Hit B to throw Chuck. You will be pushed into the wall and drop to the water under the hill.
At this point you are swimming inside the cannon hill. If you come too close to the cannon, it will pull you in and activate.
You can now dive through the ground below and swim under the entire Dizzy Island lake. When you get to the other end you will find another place behind the brown cliff to the left of the beach.
Notes: You can also go through the brown wall left of the beach, where the water is shallow enough that you can stand in it.
Dom Dunc said to try this when the cannon is still covered. You can get stuck in it.
See if anyone can manage to make it under the lake in the start area. There is a gap between the lakes and it may be too big to circumvent. It may involve jumping up out of from Dizzy Island lake under the wall, high enough to get to the start lake, but low enough to stay underground.
And just for 4th of July memories, maybe someone can use Chuck to get under the hill with the Piranhas - the big version in Huge Island.

I've done a few things with that Chuck-ya:
(1) Simply grab him, go up next to the mountain, face away, and throw. You'll fall into the mountain! Easy.
(2) Do the same as (1) except as you fall in hold the control stick in the direction of the middle of the mountain and hammer A. Mario should end up in the stone next to the lake at the top, swimming, with his head poking out.
(3) Take the Chuck-ya to the entrance and push yourself through the wall there. You'll be in that little lake under the entrance.

Well, we can get inside Bob-Omb Battlefield with the box...and it is out of bounds so you die. I don't think anyone has posted that they've done it with the Bob-Omb King, but it would just yield the same results, so it would be pretty pointless.

The King Bob-Omb...the first star in the game, at the top of the mountain.

Sorry for the double post, apparently (again) I don't know how to read. What was meant by using the King to enter the level was not to enter the level, but to use the King to get inside the mountain. Basically take the King down the mountain some and have him push you through the wall into the mountain.

Well, to keep the discussion moving I have a question...
Has anyone ever collected the second 1UP mushroom on the slide shortcut in Cool, Cool Mountain? Strangely, I can't remember ever actually collecting it. I've come close to it, but it always slides right right through the wall as I approach it. I'm pretty sure that wasn't intended behaviour...

I don't think I've ever gotten it either, but I'll have to play and find out for sure.

Hey, you know how if you're lucky you can make coins appear inside a cannon? What would happen if you got your 100th coin by falling into a cannon, or if you got your 100-coin star directly over a cannon?

I was wondering about that. So he does push you through walls while heavy, heh?
(2) Do the same as (1) except as you fall in hold the control stick in the direction of the middle of the mountain and hammer A. Mario should end up in the stone next to the lake at the top, swimming, with his head poking out.
I don't know what stone you're talking about. You mean he will be swimming under the rim of the lake when it is high, like in www.mzrg.com/Mario3.jpg?
(3) Take the Chuck-ya to the entrance and push yourself through the wall there. You'll be in that little lake under the entrance.
I thought if you did that, you'd fall through the dry crack under the wall. The water doesn't extend beyond the wall.
www.mzrg.com/Mario5.jpg
Where are you here? It looks like the hill at the start, but the hidden water area looks too small.
Err... has anyone tried throwing the King Bob-Omb to get inside Bob-Omb Battlefield?
I tried that. But he doesn't push you through the wall. I don't know yet whether it's because boundaries have a higher resistance or because there is a small slope at the foot of the cliff.
What would happen if you...got your 100-coin star directly over a cannon?
You'd probably fall to the bottom of the well and do the dance, then after closing the popup the cannon would activate.
