Hey, I've never posted on this board before, in fact, I haven't had a gamefaqs account in months, because when pipe mania went, I went with it.
But anyway, I was messing around in this game when I went to the courtyard. I was trying to get over the wall, so I climbed up one of the trees and jumped up onto the wall. It didn't work, so I tried again, but this time when I fell to the ground the textures wigged out and went all crazy. It was the tree on the upper right hand side of the courtyard. I happened to get a screenshot of it via msn tv. I sent it to my computer and uploaded it, here it is...

Brightguy: Also, I believe it was Bullet Bill who mentioned collecting the 100-coin in Hazy Maze Cave above the bottomless pit and see what happens. I just tried this on an emulator, using the bat's coin to make the star appear above the pit. You fall all the way into the pit and land on some hidden floor, and the rest of the screen is black. After the text disappears the course ends and you lose a life. You can walk around on this floor for a second as the Bowser animation is happening, just like the Rainbow Ride 100-coin trick.
That is a neat trick. I have figured that the lake is directly below the pit. You may have fallen down to the lake without it ever loading because you snuck through the ceiling, and thus landed on the abyssal floor. Now if only it can be done without a Gameshark or emu.
However, I am surprized you got the Bowser. He doesn't appear when you fall into the hole the normal way, or when you do the "bottom of the world" trick in Rainbow Ride.
MustKillMoWhee: When you open a door leading to an area that needs to be loaded (going from outside the castle inside, from the lobby to the stairs, etc) you'll notice that Mario opens the door and walks through it before the screen fades away. If those "black rooms" or "fake rooms" weren't there, he couldn't walk through the door before the screen faded away, he would only be able to open the door.
I figure that this was done similar to an old game some of us may remember: you fold a piece of paper 2 or 3 ways, and each person draws part of a body without seeing any of the others, and draws two short connecting lines slightly into the next section as a guide for the next person. The final result is a three-part monstrosity that is hilarious. I believe these connecting rooms were done for a similar purpose. The designer of each area includes only a small portion of the adjoining area, so as to create a sense of continuity between them. Now granted if they were consistant with this concept, the "black room of death" would have resembled the short hallway into the foyer. But instead they just made a black room.
Super Slash: Is it just me, or did I find a mystery? On the top floor, go to where the Bomb-Omb Battlefield painting is and look behind it by turning the camera to the left. You will see a star door. Is that a secret door, or is it just the lower levels, or upper levels?
It's a door you probably already know about. You're just seeing it through a wall. There are a lot of doors and stuff that you can see this way. The "Red F" is a case in point. In fact, by following a given sequence you can look toward the foyer from the Jolly Roger anteroom and see a whole constellation of doors - and Toad and Big Boo!
ameba2: Hi, this is my first post here in Gamefaqs, but I have been reading this topic since it was started. I have never been able to post anything, because I've never found anything new. But yesterday, while playing the game outside of the castle, I found something interesting. Maybe this is common knowledge, but I found a way for doing the backwards long jump in the sand hill next to the cannon. I went really fast and was able to get through the castle, but ended in the waterfall. Maybe you smart guys can find a way for getting under the moat with this glitch, because I haven't been able to do that. One last thing; I'm sorry if my English is not good beacuse I'm chilean. :D
You did just fine. Some totally english speaking people are way more cryptic. I was working with the same steep hill on the beach. I often throw myself clear across the yard to the hill next to the 1-up tree. I've also shot through the moat and ended up halfway up the fall a couple of times. But I don't think I ever went through the castle. And yes, I often do just run into the drawbridge.

swami1678: If there was an easier way to manoever around, then this might just work. Unfortunately, there are so many damn trees around, so half the time you're flying into them. Also, the part of that hill which EASILY allows you to do the backward long jump is very narrow. You're limited to only a few angles.
I worked with different angles and threw myself into the "parking lot" where Mario begins the game, and also toward the other end of the beach.
MustKillMoWhee: ...what exactly do you mean by "Through the castle." Are you actually going through the walls and ending up back by the waterfall? If so, what wall are you going through? If we know of a specific place on the wall that allows Mario to get through, we might be able to manipulate it without the backwards long jump to get under the castle without the speed of motion.
...
ameba2: I went through one of the walls that are between the Invisible Cap stage entrance and the bridge with the 2 coins (can't remeber which one XD).
The moat floor extends beyond some of the castle walls, so there may be a small space behind the wall that is within the area bounds.
smithkakarot: I made a new trick!
How to make Mario look like a giant!
Similar to make Mario walk on water (same place), but the water needs to be high, and you need to walk on the beach. If you did it right, Mario will look like a giant, walking at the base of the far hill!
...
No comments on my trick? :-(
You didnt' give exact directions, but I think I can figure it out. Someone gave a similar trick for making Mario big by standing on part of the castle roof. Did you use stop cam and go underground?
Brightguy: Ah, the challenge of getting under the castle. It's been thought that perhaps the walls of the castle form the "world boundary" walls. If this is true, then it is probably impossible to swim underneath there, because you would die if you somehow get pushed out. Anyway, I've mentioned before some evidence that suggests the walls really are world boundaries... The special butterflies in Whomp's Fortress will fly right through the walls of the fortress, and will continue to fly until they reach the world boundaries. Yet the butterflies outside the castle will fly up the hills until the reach the world boundary, and they can't fly through the walls of the castle. So I'm guessing that the hills/castle walls form the boundaries here. Bullet Bill, what was that again about a fish you saw under there?
Yes, I did see and hear them swim under me. I looked at the water through the wall near the moat door. The fish don't seem to be confined to boundaries. They are probably like the walls and water, which can freely exceed boundaries.

That looks like something the Gameshark does. Did you get inside the back of the castle? You may have the secret for getting inside the "black room of death" inside the back door! Or did you do this near the corner back where the watchtowers are? Try to recreate this trick and show us how to do it.

I was wondering about this myself. After Dom initially got inside the aquarium in the JRB anteroom I started looking at this more. The butterflies and fish both have similar qualities. They both basically look the same, except one's a fish and the other's a butterfly. Duh. But on top of that they move very similar, and it's a lot easier to see in the aquarium since there's no water there. I thought about the fact that the fish and most of the butterflies have no collision detection at all. Of course if you punch the butterflies outside the castle they can turn into a 1 Up, and the ones in THI turn into the bomb/balls/whatever you wanna call them. So I'm assuming they gave those sets of animals collision detection so you could hit them, but the rest of them in the game still don't have it programmed. If this is true, then the butterflies outside the castle (having collision detection) can't go out of the world boundaries, but the fish outside the castle (not having collision detection) could pretty much go wherever they want because they are simply decoration.
So I started thinking about this the other day and I'm wondering if it's possible at all. I know we all want to get under the castle into the lake, and I thought of something that may be possible. If there is or could be a Gameshark code that would allow Mario to NOT die if he goes out of the world boundaries, maybe we could figure this out. I've never seen a code like this, but since it's programmed into the game that he DOES die in that circumstance, there's gotta be a way to get a code to disable that function. Getting through the wall would be another task, but possibly using another GS code could do that too. I know that this is not at all what we're looking for as far as glitches go, but still, getting down there and seeing what there is would fulfill some of our hopes and dreams. Plus then we could look around inside the mountain in Bob-omb Battlefield too. Just a thought. Any ideas on this?
Holy crap, sorry for the huge post.

I have found some stunning numerical coincidences in Super Mario 64:
- Throughout the game there are railings with white columns. If you count all of the white columns in the main lobby of the castle they total 120!
- A continuation of the above anomaly: I counted the columns in the sections they appear. For example, there is a section by Bob-omb Battlefield's entrance room door which totals 27. There are 7 in one direction and then an angle turn and 20 more.
This is how I counted them. Thus, by Jolly Roger Bay there are another 7 and 20, totaling 27.
The weird coincidence occurs when totaling the white columns above the main stairs (the upper ledge with the entrance to Princess' Secret Slide, the first Star Door, etc.)
The left side has sections of 4, 12, 12 and 4 (totaling 32) but the right has sections of 4, 14, 12 and 4 (totaling 34). The right, as you can see, has one section that is two white columns longer than the left.
Since all the white columns add up to 120 we can say each one signifies a star. So, by using the knowledge that the right side has two more columns than the left we can say that the right has two more stars than the left, which is true.
The left side consists of Bob-omb Battlefield (7 stars), Cool, Cool Mountain (7 stars) and Bowser In The Dark World, which yields a key.
The right side consists of Jolly Roger Bay (7 stars), Whomp's Fortress (7 stars) and Princess' Secret Slide (2 stars), totaling to 2 more stars than the left. Interesting, eh?
-There is another instance in the game when white columns equate to stars. In the entrance room to Hazy Maze Cave there are three sections of 31 columns, totaling 93.
In the courtyard, there are 93 stars shapes:
- The Star Statue (1)
- Star designs surrounding the base of the statue (60)
- Each tree consists of two stars overlapping one another; there are 16 trees, so stars = (32)
-Nearly every room that serves as an entrance room to a level consists of sets of 4 or 8 steps:
- Bob-omb Battlefield = 4 steps
- Jolly Roger Bay = 4 steps
- Whomp's Fortress = 4 steps
- Cool, Cool Mountain = 4 steps
- Hazy Maze Cave = 4, 8 and 4 steps
- etc.
-The spiral staircase leading up to the 2nd floor consists of 23 steps and the stairway to the 3rd floor (the 50 star door) consists of 41 steps. 23 + 41 = 64 (Nintendo 64).
-In the final main room (with Tick Tock Clock and Rainbow Ride) there are exactly 50 white columns. You have entered this room via the 50 star door. Yet another white column-star relation.
Perhaps numbers have a lot more to do with things than we thought.

However, I am surprized you got the Bowser. He doesn't appear when you fall into the hole the normal way, or when you do the "bottom of the world" trick in Rainbow Ride.
Oh, my mistake. It wasn't the Bowser animation, but the 'circle of death' animation that happens when you fall into the pit. It was hard to tell because everything was black. ;)
Anyway, using the "super-fast" code that PabloX rulz posted, you can actually walk through walls. (Actually it's so fast it would be more accurate to say you pretty much fly through the walls.) However, you are stopped by walls that are boundaries of the level, it seems. This includes the castle walls. So I'm pretty sure that the lake under the castle is really out-of-bounds. You can go through the castle walls near the doors, and end up in the room of death (as well as entering from the top of the castle) but all the other walls seem solid. The "super-fast" speed is a lot like the speed you get from the backwards long-jumps, as it can be used to do all the same things (enter the aquarium, go through doors, climb the endless stairs, etc).

I don't know why I still post... My time's been taken up by school and MP2, plus some SSB and SSBM games.
I can never find anything, I hardly understand many of the terms you guys use, and anything that I think I find I discover that you guys beat me to it. *Sigh* Maybe I'll take a true leave.

Curch: And I hate Griff because he's not blue, infact, he's not really red. Kinda orangypeach... sorta like someone threw up and decided to call it a color.

The numbers thing is interesting, however, there is a problem.
There is only 1 more Star on the right. Dark World has a Star in it, which throws the whole thing off.

That counts as the middle.
PS: I made a BIG discovery using the DS version! Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to post it now. I'll do that when I get home.

I'm back. Now, as for the discovery....
A lot of people have been wondering how to get on top of the red mesh in Dire Dire Docks. On the DS version, it's possible! Using Mario's Power Flower ability (Turn into a balloon and float), i is possible to get up there. Not that there's much up there.... Still, It begs the question: Possible on the N64 version? Maybe. Has anybody tried Moonjumping up there? I have found that a Triple Jump from the turret on the sub isn't quite enough. Some things I noted:
• On the DS, there is a special footstep SFX for wire mesh. This mesh, though, sounds like a dirt footpath.
• The tops of the red things which hold the poles are transparent.
• There is apparently a ceiling in there. A low one. I could touch it with a Triple Jump.
• When I got the camera outside of the walls using the first-person mode, The sky was black. In the lagoon half of the stage, it is blue.

I seem to remember trying many different ways. I just did the moon jump thing just now, and it appears that all sections of mesh have walls on their edges leading upward, so you can go higher than the mesh but never over it.

Yeah, i discovered that a couple of weeks ago. I didn't report it though. You can also get there a few other ways. One is using Luigi's backflip. The other is easier, by just getting to the highest point on the sub, and just jumping up normally.

Other walls you can try to ram thorugh this way are:
The cliff around the beginning of Dire, Dire Docks
The big lake outside Big Boo's elevator tunnel
Inside Unagi's cave
Outside sunken ship after draining it
Above downtown ceiling after raising water level above above ceiling height
Inside the giant snowman
And if you can move downward quickly, under the ice in the nearby frozen pond

Hey, listen to this. This kinda is a glitch/secret, but not really. I don't want to create a topic for it though.
I was in Tiny HUge Island, and the spindrift/game guy was annoying me, so i shot myself out of the cannon into him, and killed him. I kept going, and i hit a certain spot underneath the small island(for lack of better words) where the ? box is. The winds picked me up inot the island, but i was still moving forward. Because of the momentum from the cannon, i kept moving forward(but the island force me to go down), while the winds pushed me up. So i got stuck in and endless loop of a battle between wind and cannon. And i couldn't quit the level because I was "moving".

Wow, MagicianofBlackChaos, that's really interesting. And weird. I wonder what in the game's engine would make that happen? If you manage to do that again, you could try turning on the debug menu to see what the game says about your speed and stuff...
smithkakarot! What are you doing?! I could mod you for that, but my sense of morality is telling me not to...

Let me get this straight. Are you talking about that small ledge that is to your left when you are going over that windy gap toward the island with the pipe and the large goombas?
Did you try moving the stick to the right, away from the mountain? Or does the stick work at all when you are still in "trajectory" mode?

I tried using the speed code to go through the walls Bullet Bill mentioned:
The cliff around the beginning of DDD: Nope, they're solid.
Big Boo's elevator tunnel: No, although you can go through the Merry-Go-Round walls and the walls next to the doors. You can get to the floor under the Merry-Go-Round like this. I tried using the speed on this floor once and got the Bowser animation... I somehow got outside the boundaries of the level, I guess.
Unagi's cave: The code doesn't work as well underwater, but I couldn't seem to get through.
Sunken ship: I could go through some walls but then there were invisible walls blocking me from getting anywhere.
Above downtown ceiling: I didn't raise the water, but I couldn't get anywhere outside of the town walls.
Giant snowman: No... and it doesn't work downward.
Long post coming up next... I found some weird behaviour in the game, but it might not be possible to actually pull off the needed steps without cheats.

First of all, I was trying some stuff in Wet-Dry World and realised something about the water levels (and I can't believe I never noticed this until now). When Dom Dunc posted about the dry pipe glitch and said "This is the ONLY WAY to raise the water this high from inside the level"... that's not actually correct. In fact, whenever you return from the town to the main area, the water level is reset to the level it started at when you begin the level. So it wasn't actually the dry pipe that did this. If you enter with low/medium water, when you get into the dry pipe, you can't warp the surface of the water anymore (because that's out-of-bounds) so you'll just stay in the pipe.
Anyway, I was hopeful that another capless/cannonless star might be possible using the trick I found that allows you to use Chuckya to push you through walls. You actually only have to have your back to a wall and then press B to throw him, and you'll go right through (only works when he's 'light'). I was thinking that if we could find a way to bring Chuckya into the town, then we could use him to get the star you need the vanish cap for. Of course, first we would need to find a way to get him to fall off his ledge so that we can bring him into water, and then actually get into the pipe to the town.
But I used a GS cheat to get by these difficulties, and found something strange: when the game loads the town, you lose the Chuckya you are carrying. At first it doesn't look like it, but eventually he'll disappear and you're holding nothing. Now comes the very strange part... if you swim back and forth between the town and the main world, the nothing you are holding will transform into random items from the level. Here's a list of some I've got: Vanish/Metal Cap Box, large/extra large cork box, a dock, yellow/red/blue coin, bubble, arrow lift, amp, fire-shooter, the cannon cover, a heave-ho, a sign, ! switch, and a tree. (Yeah, it looks really weird with Mario walking around carrying a tree!)
Now, you can actually place some of these things down (or drop them in the air so they're floating), and they'll move from their original positions in the level. However, they often don't work anymore, for example you can't use the ! switch. The cap boxes allow you to hit them once, nothing comes out, and then after that they don't do anything and you can go right through them. When I moved the cannon cover, I was able to fall into the cannon hole -- but the cannon wasn't there. However, the tree is an item that works perfectly even after you've placed it somewhere. Also, you can't use items from the town in the main level and vice versa. And if you leave and return the town/main area things move back.
I was trying to use the tree to allow me to get through some walls, but it didn't work. But even if it did work, to do this without cheats we would still have to find a way to make Chuckya fall off his platform, and then find some way of getting into the pipe with him... you can't jump over the grating while carrying Chuckya. (Alternatively, I also found out you can push Chuckya through walls with those big blocks... so I was hoping that he would fall into the town, but he disappears when the town loads.)

Wow Brightguy, that sounds weird. I have a question to ask though, could you use your GameShark (or could someone use an emulator) to see if the same thing happens if you jump into a pipe in Tiny-Huge Island? Because then there might be a possibility of being able to do it without the GameShark (if the loading works the same in both levels).

I tried moonjumping over to a pipe holding a Chuckya, and fell in still carrying it, but when I reappeared I had nothing, and when I went back I had nothing. I did, however, find a few weird things: one time I got the Chuckya to throw me out of the pipe, so he was in the pipe, and a few times I got the Chuckya to explode in the pipe, making some coins on the pipe's bottom. It appears that the pipes have solid bottoms, like the cannons, that are only affected by Mario, but I think that since the screen reloads when you enter Tiny/Huge Island through a pipe you lose whatever you're carrying. In WDW the screen doesn't reload.

Whoa, it gets weirder. A few times I got Chuckya to land and throw me; it looks like you can jump while holding him if the moon jump is activated, but then you throw Chuckya; you can slide (and swim!!!) holding the Chuckya; air gusts will make you drop it; if you get eaten by that giant fish thing Chuckya dissapears; if you get hurt Chuckya dies; you can bring Chuckya through the initial doorway; etc. etc. etc. Weird.

Okay, I took a bunch of screenshots of some of the items. These are all from an emulator, and you might notice that some graphical details aren't perfect (e.g. usually Mario's shadow disappears, as well as the water crystals). I hosted the images at www.imageshack.us.

Read my post up above. Although, we'll have to find a way to make Chuckya drop off his platform, and then find a way to jump into the pipe with him. I tried the changing water level trick (and that's when I found out that the water level simply resets for the main area whenever you re-enter it). It's strange that the water in the town doesn't act like this, although when entering the town the water was always supposed to be high.
Here's a few more shots of random items:
http://img74.exs.cx/img74/1702/bigdock2bt.jpg
http://img74.exs.cx/img74/9018/elevator7ck.jpg
http://img74.exs.cx/img74/2581/rotatingplatform8hq.jpg
http://img74.exs.cx/img74/3016/skeeter1it.jpg
http://img74.exs.cx/img74/5283/chuckyaclone8aj.jpg
For the Chuckya clone, whenever I would throw the one I was holding the other one would disappear. I had the other one pick me up, which caused me to drop the one I was holding, which caused the one that picked me up to disappear. Then Mario was stuck in the "Chuckya caught me" motion on the floor. For the skeeter, whenever I let him go, he hurt me, then just remained in one place and I could walk through him. His eyes and legs still moved, though.
Here are the other items I've picked up: 1UP, little/big floating docks, blue coin block, ! block, Chuckya, the express elevator, one of those big pushing blocks, the rotating platform at the top of the level, skeeter, star, and a water drop that appears when you make splash in the water. I can't think of anything else that might appear, besides perhaps the bob-omb buddy or a water crystal (I might have already had one but couldn't see it in the emulator).
Now, when I dropped the star, I actually picked it up and the level ended. So, if we can manage this trick, then another cc-less star is technically possible. As well, notice that in the red coin shots my coin total increased. (Mario goes right through the stationary coin you see in the second picture.) A red coin in the town disappeared, but when I left the town and re-entered it, the original red coin was re-loaded, and I got an extra two coins. And since Chuckya keeps reappearing, this means that if we can manage this trick, then 255 coins in this level is possible. Right now it looks like unlikely, though.
(Mario goes right through the stationary coin you see in the second picture.) Yes! I figured out a way to bring Chuckya into the water in both Wet-Dry World and Tall, Tall Mountain. All you have to do throw Chuckya off the edge and then immediately jump off after him, so he catches you before he lands. Basically the same idea from the topic about bringing Chuckya into the castle.
First, start to walk off the edge while carrying Chuckya. Mario will automatically throw Chuckya, and make a small jump just after that. This lets you get underneath Chuckya easier. In TTM you have more space to fall, so Chuckya can catch you in the air. You don't have as much room in WDW, and you have to make sure that the water level is low so that there's no water beneath you. I found that I'll hit the ground first, and then Chuckya will pick me up before he hits the ground. After this, raise the water level to the highest you can. Then swim to Chuckya and grab him with B. He can still catch you while he's underwater, although not while you're at the water surface. Actually, when he catches you in water, while he's spinning you around you can swim around as the invisible Mario.
So, now the question is if we can get him into the pipe. Unfortunately, we can't even use the very highest water level, because to reset the level that high we would have to go to the town and come back, and Chuckya's position will be reset. But at least now I'm able to do something I've always wanted to do... get into that secret area behind that one block you have to push to reveal a secret. You can use the trick to make Chuckya push you through walls, or have him throw you in. Here's a screenshot: http://www.geocities.com/sm64home/WDWsecret.jpg
I'm not sure if there are any good walls to have Chuckya push us through in TTM... One problem here is that it doesn't look like we can bring Chuckya anywhere except the very beginning. It might be possible to carry Chuckya up the slanted wall by the water by jumping backwards. But it'll be pretty hard since we can't even use the back kick.
I also forgot a screenshot, Mario holding a star: http://img61.exs.cx/img61/8334/star8we.jpg

Wow, great work Brightguy, I was looking into similar methods of getting Chuckya to grab you after falling off, but never pulled it off.

OK, so far, using Brightguy's tricks I've managed to get into the pipe leading to town, but bypass the loading zone so the town doesn't load and the end of the pipe just leads to an invisible wall.

Dom, how did you manage to bypass the loading zone in the pipe?

Well, I'm stumpted for now. (getting Chuckya into the wet-dry pipe.)
Brightguy, it is possible to take Chuckya off his platform while the water is at it's highest, all you have to do is take him over to near where the floating wooden platforms are, walk to the edge, when Mario throws Chuckya do a little jump and just before you land on the platform press B to dive, this should just about get you under him so he grabs you. Then he should sink through the platform into the water. However, this doesn't help at all because even then I wasn't able to jump over the fence and get into the pipe. The only possible way I can see (short of someone finding a way to clip through the fence around the pipe) is waiting for a water skimmer to move near the fence, then jump out of the water, bounce off the skimmer and over the fence, which seems nigh on impossible.
And Mo, to bypass the pipe's loading zone; grab Chuckya, take him to the edge and when Mario throws him, do a small jump and push forward as hard as you can with luck (and good timing) you pass under Chuckya before he hits the level below and he'll grab you. Now raise the water and grab chuckya when he's underwater. Now swim over to the crystal that lowers the water but still allows you to swim onto the curved concrete ramp. Walk up this ramp with chuckya (he should now be light). Take him over the the yellow box full of coins underneath the platform he starts on. Stand under it and put Mario's back to the brown wall, now press B to throw chuckya, he should push mario back through the brown wall, you'll then fall into the pipe leading to the town, but you'll be past the loading point, swim to the end of the pipe to see the weird invisible wall. Brightguy came up with both of the tricks that allow this glitch.
On a side note, I found a new minor glitch in Wet-Dry world, simply go to the area underneath Chuckya, push the big block over so it ends up directly underneath the small brown platform that leads up to chuckya. Now jump up and down rapidly between the block and the platform, if you hit just the right spot, Mario will grab onto something and pull himself up and you'll end up inside the platform, then you'll be able to run around inside it.

Thanks Dom. I would assume that it automatically loads the right info if you swim back through the load point and back again, right? The only reason I ask is because it may work like the black room, where you swim through it and it loads the info for downtown while you're heading toward the main part of the level.

Wow, that pipe trick is neat. I wouldn't have thought it was possible because you have to fall through area that is "out-of-bounds". You can't do it in the very corner underneath the ! block because the pipe isn't directly underneath you there.
Also, nice work getting the Chuckya into the water while it's still high. Too bad we can't raise the water just a little bit more. And getting inside that brown platform is another nice find. It seems both the top and bottom of that platform have double-sided walls, which is strange because you're not supposed to get inside. I looked around in other platforms and couldn't find any other double-sided walls.
I also found another small glitch: First, set the water to its highest level. Then swim down and set the water to its second lowest. As the water is draining, swim over to the lowest heave-ho enemy. You should get there before the water has fully drained, and the heave-ho will appear slightly underneath the ground, so it can't throw you now and you don't have to worry about it.

Mo: Yes, I think it does load the correct data when you go back through, unlike the BroD. Although I never actually looked, I always died.
Brightguy: It seems to work like when you get warped to the water's surface when doing the dry-pipe glitch. i.e. You don't fall through an out-of-bounds area, you are warped straight into it.

Someone has said Dom Dunc, you are a god. I can fathom that. I was just recently wondering if there was a way to bypass the warp in the pipe and get to the "wrong" end as you did. I did make a screenshot where Lakitu is in this spot looking back at Mario when he is up at the foot of the cannon.
Now you found a way to get Mario there! I guess I'll have to start practicing with Chuck-Ya.
